Will Gujarat Board Exam be Cancelled ?

Many State Boards had cancelled class 10 the exam and decided to give merit based promotion to class 10 students. Class 12 Exam had also been postponed till further notice come. CBSE also cancelled class 10 exam and students also demanding to cancel class 12 exam which was postponed earlier. In Gujarat cases are surging at a very high rate. Many parents, students as well as teachers demanding to cancel GSEB class 10 and class 12 Exam. Gujarat Education Minister Bhupendrasinh  Chudasama
is not ready for cancellation of exam. He clearly said that school exam will be conducted and students evaluated before being promoted to the next academic year. Many Educational Channels like  The Diwalipura Youth, Edu Gadhavi are also demanding right decision from education authorities considering worse and dangerous situation in Gujarat. But State Government is in favour of taking offline exam anyhow. They are arguing that Exam should be conducted for development of student's personality. If mass promotion would be given to std 10 students, it will affect them in  national level exam conducted after Std 12. You can see below article published today:

Gujarat Government Should Consider following points and take decision in favour of students
  • If IPL can cancel, CBSE Board exam can be cancelled then why not Gujarat Board Exam ?
  • CBSE, ICSE and many state boards had already been cancelled their exams. So, Students from these boards have started their preparation for upcoming competitive exams. For ex. National level exams like JEE and NEET require sufficient amount of time for preparation. Now Gujarat Board will be going to announced new dates of exam on May 15 after reviewing coronavirus situation. So, If they would announce new dates then it will take another 1 month to conduct exam. Another few days would require to prepare results of students. Approximately this whole process would take one and half month or more than that. So the question is when will students of Gujarat board  start their preparation for Competitive exams ? So, this is going to be clearly injustice to Gujarat students.
  • They are saying that offline exam will be conducted by following strict SOP. The question is that in election elders were not following SOP then How will you expect that SOP would be followed by Students of class 10 and 12 ?
  • Around 12 Lakhs students are going to appear for Board exams. If one student would get infected by Coronavirus who will take responsibiliy of those many lives ?
There are many more points to be taken in consideration. Share this article as much as possible so that proper decision would come on 15 May.
