Candidates in the General, OBC, and GEN-EWS categories must pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 250 through the online mode. Candidates in the SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Serviceman categories are exempt from paying the registration fee.

General Information :

  1. Indian citizens are the only ones who are eligible to apply.
  2. Before applying, the candidate should check to see if he or she meets the eligibility and other requirements listed in the advertisement.
  3. The candidate must earn the appropriate marks / grade in the fundamental qualification for the post, based on an average of all semesters / years, regardless of the weightage granted to any particular semester / year by the Institute / University.
  4. To be eligible to apply, the candidate must have obtained the required educational qualification on or before July 1, 2021.
  5. Internal candidates who meet the requirements are eligible to apply. Before filling up the applications, they should consult the internal circular.
  6. Only online applications are accepted. No applications submitted by hand, on paper, or via e-mail will be considered.
  7. The date of the result announcement / issuing of the mark sheet is regarded to be the date of obtaining the qualification, and no exceptions will be made on this account. Post-qualification experience on a post/level shall only be counted from the date specified.
  8. A registered candidate’s candidature may be rejected at any stage of the recruiting process, including after recruitment or joining, if any information submitted by the candidate is determined to be incorrect or not in compliance with the advertisement’s qualifying criteria.
  9. Without testimonials/certificates, a candidate’s application may be refused.
  10. Candidates deemed to be presumably eligible based on online data will be able to download an admit card that includes their roll number, name of the assigned test centre, date of the Computer Based Written Exam, and test guidelines from the NHPC website. Candidates will be notified through e-mail as well. For sitting in the test, the candidate must download his or her Admit card, Test Guidelines, and other documents from the website. Admit cards will not be sent over the mail.
  11. All candidates’ candidacies are on a preliminary basis.
  12. Candidates should have their e-mail address valid for at least a year. Once you’ve entered your e-mail ID, you won’t be able to modify it. All future correspondence will be sent exclusively by e-mail.
  13. Candidates who work for the government, public sector organisations, or autonomous bodies must submit a NOC with their application. If the NOC is not ready by the application deadline, they must attach a self-certificate stating that they have filed for NOC and submit the NOC within 15 days before the examination date.
  14. In the event of any uncertainty or disagreement emerging from the interpretation of a version other than English, the English version will take precedence.
  15. NHPC maintains the right to terminate, amend, restrict, enlarge, or alter the recruitment process at any time without prior warning or explanation.
  16. The NHPC maintains the right to raise or decrease the number of vacancies as needed.
  17. Any canvassing by the applicant, whether directly or indirectly, will disqualify his or her candidacy.
  18. The NHPC Policy and Recruitment Rules will govern the recruitment process.
  19. The Competent Court at Faridabad / High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the event of a dispute.

Selection Procedure :

  1. Applicants who have registered online with NHPC and filled out all of the required information will be allowed to appear for the Computer Based Online Test on a provisional basis. The final selected candidates will be granted a “Offer of Appointment” based on the merit of the Online Test.
  2. Examinable languages: English and Hindi
  3. Observation 3 HOUR DURATION (180 minutes)
  4. Marks allotted: 200

How to Apply :

  1. Even if a registration number has been generated, applications with missing or incomplete papers will be immediately denied. The candidate should not transmit any documents/certificates, or a printout of the registration slip/form, by mail.

Step 1: Go to www.nhpcindia.com and apply using the online application portal in the “Career” section. An applicant must have a valid email address and a mobile phone number, both of which must be active throughout the process in order to receive any future notifications.

Step 2: Before applying, read all of the guidelines on the website to check that you are eligible.

Step 3: Complete and submit the online application form with all required information. The system will generate an application ID after a successful submission, which should be preserved and used for future correspondence.

Step 4: Before submitting an online registration for attachment, the candidate should have scanned copies of the following documents on hand:

a. Matriculation/secondary school diploma as verification of birth date.
b. The entire set of mark sheets/certificates supporting the qualification.
c. A caste certificate in the format approved by the Indian government. If you are an OBC candidate, your community certificate must have been granted within 6 months of your registration date.
d. Competent Authority’s certificate of disability (if applicable)

Step 5: Follow the directions in the online application site to upload your most recent photos and signature.

Step 6: Print a duplicate of the system-generated registration form with the Unique application ID for future reference.
